AFTER MEISSEN 18TH CENTURY ORIGINAL, A SET OF 15 PORCELAIN ANTHROPOMORPHIC FIGURES, MONKEY BAND BY RUDOLSTADT VOLKSTEDT OF THURINGIA
Early 20th Century, the hard paste porcelain monkey musicians, polychrome painted, dressed as humans in 18th Century court dress, with gilded decoration on Rocaille plinth, to include conductor, impressed pattern no: V20213, flautist, bagpiper, horn, flute, harp, violin, drummer players and singer, firstly designed by Meissen by Joachim Kandler and Peter Reinicke, 1753 - 1765, as a set of twelve musicians, additionally including one 18th Century example of monkey's band singer, having blue underglaze hayfork mark for Alteste Volkstedter-Volkstedt, Circa 1770 or Limbach.

Condition: good overall, some minor damages to 18th Century singer example, chips to fingers
