A Meissen figure of a gardener, c.1770, modelled by Michel Victor Acier, holding a posy of flowers in his right hand leaning upon his shovel and a watering can, rococo scroll moulded base, underglaze blue crossed swords to the rear of the base, incised model number C69, 19cm high, restorations
Provenance - purchased from Winifred Williams, Eastbourne/London before 1970.
There is discoloured and slightly damaged restoration to his right cuff and hand and to the handle and rim of the watering can. There are some losses to the gilding and to the ribbon on the edge of his hat. Otherwise in reasonable condition.
