WW1 1914 “Mons” Star Trio with 5 th Aug-22 nd Nov 1914 Bar. Awarded to 80319 Gnr Walter H Durrant Royal Field Artillery, all with supporting paperwork copies. Gunner Durrant had quite an interesting career. The paperwork informs us that he was a fitter (heavy gun mechanic) and had served with many units including tanks. He was wounded in 1916 and sent to England for a short while and another by gas just prior to the German Spring offensive of 1918. His record also shows that he had spent some time in the Discipline Centre, which may explain why he went in a private and came out a private. The medals come with all supporting copy paperwork, Wound Stripe, 5 th Aug-22 nd Nov 1914 Bar (given in 1919) Moving wheel R.A Cap badge, in a Princess Mary’s Christmas Gift Tin.
