A KANGXI BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN ROSEWATER BOTTLE CONVERTED INTO AN INKWELL, 18TH CENTURY

Of pear-shaped form, finely painted porcelain bottle decorated in vivid cobalt blue with stylized floral and foliate motifs framed within pointed cartouches, converted in the Ottoman Empire into an inkwell, mounted with an intricately crafted silver lid and fittings, the domed lid featuring a lotus bud finial, further embellished with delicately chased floral details, sitting on a silver-mounted circular base, this piece seamlessly blends Kangxi-era porcelain artistry with Ottoman silverwork, creating a unique and elegant object of dual cultural significance.
Height: 9.5 cm.
