Churchill (Winston Leonard Spencer, 1889-1977, former British Prime Minister). An original pencil caricature of Winston Churchill (initialed J. H.), signed by Winston Churchill beneath, sheet size 10cm x 16.5cm approx., This was drawn by James Hodson when he was a young teenager in the late 1930s. He would draw various caricatures of celebrities and politicians, then send them in the hope of getting the subject to sign and return the caricature. He was obviously a very talented young artist which many celebrities of the day were happy to oblige his request of a signature.
