A 'Spanish' Morion Or Cabasset, late 16th Century almond-shaped skull made from single piece russet iron, the short stalk removed and lead insert at the top, the base of the skull encircled by lining rivets on embossed brass washers (two incomplete), and down turned brim with turned edge and struck with a mark, approximate 22.5cm high. Note: these were often used during the English Civil War
