A late Victorian gold thimble, of typical form with dimpled crown and skirt, the lower frieze chased with scrolling foliage and beeded rim, a cartouche engraved 'Lady Harvey,' 3.39g, in fitted retail box. (Princess Louise of Wales, granddaughter of Queen Victoria, was given a gold thimble by Lady Harvey as a wedding present on her marriage to the Duke of Fife in 1889)
