An uncommon document signed, signed by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (1900-2002), “Elizabeth R.," and Princess Margaret (1930-2002), "Margaret,” on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, 14 March 1963, signed in the upper right corner in bold fountain pen by the Queen Mother and in black ink by Princess Margaret; their signatures are appropriately penned adjacent to the typed caption, “Signed on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.”, seal of the privy council upper left, a pre-printed document with typewritten insertions, being a free pardon to John Broom who had been convicted on 5 September 1962 "of driving a motor cycle without there being in force a certificate of insurance in respect of third party risks, and was ordered to pay a fine of ten pounds", the pardon also remitting him for the fine imposed, further signed in blue ink to verso by Henry Brooke, Baron Brooke of Cumnor (1903-1984), folio (33 x 20cm), framed and double glazed, whole approx. size 43.5 x 30.5cm. At the time this document was issued Queen Elizabeth II was undertaking a Royal Tour of Australia (18 February - 27 March 1963), and it was therefore signed by the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret in her absence
