Meiji period (1868–1912) Satsuma vase of baluster form. Heavily gilt raised decoration of fans and flowers. Central body is painted with exterior family village scene. Raised enamels used throughout the decoration also. Two character mark in gilt on red to base as well as Shimazu clan mark. Height: 31cm
