KGV Royal Navy LSGC to CH.14196 J.H. Parfitt Mne R.M. extremely fine. With copied service paper, James Henry Parfitt was born in 1885, attested 20/11/03, joined Hibernia 21/4/12 which was then fitted with a temporary runway over the forecastle. On 4th May 1912 Commander Sampson completed the first seaplane flight from a British ship. He left Hibernia 17/10/16 and in WW1 also served on Canada, King Alfred and 3rd R.M. Batt. LSGC awarded 15/4/24, discharged 29/11/24 and enrolled next day in RFR and served until discharged aged 50 29/11/35. (Y)
