A Chinese bronze ‘elephant’ vessel, late Ming dynasty, modelled as a caparisoned elephant standing four square supporting a gu vase on its back, the vase cast in relief with bats, fruits, lotus flowers and scrolls, 36cm high, Repairs

Typical casting imperfections and old repairs. Dark brown to black patina. There are glue repairs to a section of the rim/neck of the vase, the middle of the stem of the vase and to the elephants front left leg.
