A George III painted tortoiseshell pair cased pocket watch, by James Smith, London, 3.5cm enamel dial inscribed with Arabic numerals, verge fusee movement signed and numbered 7992, the gilt inner case marked WW over CG, the outer case decorated with a sportsman and his hunting dog, 6.5cm over loop, c.1780

Outer horn case generally good, small split where there is a steel pin in place, see photo. It does not close fully. Watch with light surface rubbing, minor scuffs as befits age and use. Bamfords cannot guarantee that this watch is in full working order, however it will tick if lightly shaken. No key.
