A fine Victorian Lepidoptery Collection of 58 species of British Butterflies including extinct and re-introduced species. The bespoke made walnut Cabinet by J. Thorne Cabinet Makers fitted with a pair of arched panel doors enclosing two banks of fifteen sealed glass topped drawers above a base fitted pair of drawers 4ft 6in H x 3ft 5in W.
The collection was formed by the amateur Lepidopterist brothers Bernard and Alexander Adams between c.1880-1920
