signed Simpson and Roberts 34 Strand St, Liverpool. Subsid 2nds and up/down dials. Spring detent escapement, blued steel helical spring, free-sprung, in a brass bowl, gimballed in a 3 tier brass bound mahogany box with winding key.
Movement is ticking, balance is good. Will require an overhaul. Dial is good. Hands do not match. Box bowl and gimbles good. Tipsy key possibly not original. Date in our opinion 1860-1890
