A large and impressive slate mantel clock, c.1900 - the architectural case decorated with naval trophies and an engraved lighthouse, all enriched with gilt, the gilt brass dial with Arabic ivory porcelain chapter ring, fronting an eight day movement by J. Marti et Cie, no. 3952 58, striking the half hours on a gong, raised on shallow bevelled gilt brass plinth feet, 49cm high.
* Condition: Lacks pendulum. Strikes correctly. Case appears to have been restored with probable addition of the parcel gilding on the applied trophies. Dial VG. Chip to centre of top edge of the base and tiny chip to right hand corner. Otherwise in good condition.
