A French 1930s Art Deco plaster plaque by Simonne Sautat depicting a veiled lady sat by her baby against an Eastern urban landscape, incised Notre dame de la maison (Our lady of the house) alongside incised signature, mounted onto a wooden backboard, plaque 21xm x 29cm, board 30cm x 39.5cm, damaged.
The plaque has been broken and reglued in several places, perhaps on firing as the repairs look old.
