A worksplate, GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY, GORTON WORKS 1914, from a GCR Class 1A, LNER B8 Class 4-6-0. Those built in 1914 were LNER Nos 5439-46, renumbered 1350-7 in 1946, including two named locos, Sutton Nelthorpe and Earl Roberts of Kandahar. All were withdrawn by 1949. Cast brass, 10½"x6¾", the front repainted, the left-hand hole slightly enlarged. (Postage Band: B)
