Fees

A French porcelain cache pot, early 20th century, modelled as a top hat with shaped brim, extensively decorated with floral swags and continuous floral friezes, painted faux Sevres mark to base, set to a gilt metal stand with ribboned loop handle and paw feet, the hat 15cm high, the stand 44.5cm high (at fault)

More Information

One end of the hat brim shows evidence of restoration to the rim. The piece shows surface wear and rubbing to the gilt highlights throughout. The interior shows some staining and areas of ingrained dirt. The stand appears to be structurally sound, showing rubbing and tarnishing to the gilt finish throughout.
