Baillie’s Plays by Joanna Baillie 3 volumes includes hand written dedication from the author in volume 1, volume 2 Robert Milligan’s signature, volume 3 includes at front and back 5 pages of stories and notes from Robert Milligan on Wellington in France and Waterloo. Robert Milligan born 28/8/1787 – died at age of 88 on 21/12/1875. He fought with the 11th Regiment of Light Dragoons and severely wounded at Waterloo when he was a Lieutenant and afterwards entered as a Captain in the Life Guards. He married Elizabeth Margaret Baillie on 11/7/1816 despite protests from her family, her father Matthew Baillie was physician to King George III and a favoured friend at court.
