1799 Pre-stamp. Wonderful cover sent from Uffingham to Guernsey with a well struck red brass datestamp of London. This second Brass type date-stamp (45mm, code D) was in use for only 11 days from June 5-15th 1799 with this example being on the last day of use. Struck across the flaps but a scarce item.
