A 19th century mahogany writing box. With brass stringing and inlay, the interior fitted compartments and inkwells, and with a lower document drawer, height 16cm, width 45.5cm, depth 25cm. Wear, staining, scratches and small chips commensurate with age and usage, green emulsion paint in small areas, one replacement ink well, original baize, split to drawer liner base, and possible old replacement cover to the interior compartment.
