A LATE 19TH CENTURY BLACK LACQUERED LIDDED BOX by Ede, Son & Ravenscroft, highlighted with gilt bands the top labelled "T. H. OPENSHAW ESQre F.R.C.S" with green lacquered interior, believed to be owned by Thomas Horrocks Openshw who was best know for his brief involvement in the notorious Jack the Ripper murders of 1888. - bearing makers plaque to the inner lid.
