1838 Entire letter from Sebay near Kirkwall and a large part letter from Muirdrum, both to the USA prepaid as ship letters with Liverpool and New York Ship datestamps and scarce oval "SHIP LETTER / (crown) / LIVERPOOL" datestamp type S.6 in black or red, the red handstamp a little faint in places, the scarcest of all the basic types of Liverpool Ship Letter handstamps.
