An extremely rare 9ct gold model of the Coronation Coach/ State Coach. Made in 1977 by Toye, Kenning & Spencer LTD to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Mounted on a mahogany plinth and cased in blue presentation box.
Certificate of authenticity stating that the coach is no. 7 out of limited edition of 10.
Designed and created by Ronald Barbier who hand-made 64 components to create the design pattern. Modelled on The Queen's State Coach built in 1762 for George III. This model coach contains approx 75g of 9ct gold. Fully hallmarked. Dimensions including plinth approx - 88mm x 58mm x 40mm.
Generally good to very good condirion. Upper lining of box has come away and needs re-sticking. Minor discoloration of roof of coach and in other small areas. Tiny nick in one wheel, and also on wing of figure by back wheel (possible flaw in casting). Wooden plinth in good condition.
