Curiosity/Macabre : A selection of 18th Century monochrome engravings relating to Mary Toft (nee Denyer, c.1701-1763) who was an English woman from Godalming, Surrey. In 1726 Mary became the subject of considerable controversy when she tricked doctors in to believing that she had given birth to rabbits!!
