£4,400
A Victorian gold and pearl suite of jewellery, comprising a choker necklace, pair of drop earrings and a brooch modelled as a mouse on a plate, all modelled as mice or rats eating pearls. Within red Morocco leather fitted case. Unmarked, possibly by Thornhill & Co.
Gross weight 36.1 grams. One mouse on the choker has lost his pearl, and one mouse was historically removed from the back of the necklace as it apparently always got caught in the wearer's hair.
Clasp to necklace is a discreet box clasp at 9 o'clock.
