A 19th Century French oil on canvas painting depicting children playing in a landscape scene. Two children resting on rocky outcrop with one child kneeling holding a snake and showing his playmates. The scene with central tree, lake and building to distance. Signed by artist to lower right corner in red. Set to a gilt gesso cushion frame. Measures approx; 45cm x 36cm / 58cm x 50cm.
