A 17th century oak Wainscot chair, the gadrooned top rail flanked by acorn finials above the back panel carved with a foliate Celtic design, enclosed by down swept arms below bog oak and holly chevron banding, the later upholstered seat upon ring turned supports, block feet and plain rear legs united by peripheral cross stretchers, 99cm H x 61cm W x 50cm D
Minor play in chair joints, bar added to the underside of rear cross stretcher, due to the historic worm and wear to the rear legs.
Seat and blocks later with staining around the rear legs, possible further restoration.
Further minor splits, marks and scuffs, wear commensurate with age and use
