Taxidermy: Kingfisher in glass dome. A full mount taxidermy Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), also known as the Eurasian Kingfisher or River Kingfisher. The specimen originally part of a large mixed case from 1883. The specimen still retaining good colour, including the amazing electric blue feathers for which the species is known. Mounted in later glass dome with black metal base.
