2nd Bn Royal Berkshire Regiment Pre WW1 Khaki Drill Uniform. This KD uniform was worn by 8010 Private Frank Taylor of the 2nd Berkshire's.
Comprising:
Tunic tailored with stand and full collar, two breast pockets and two internal pockets, field dressing and ID card. Also with loops for Good Conduct Chevron ... Complete with matching overall with zinc buttons. Both intems with original ink stamp "2 BRKS 8010" VGC (2 items) 8010 Private Frank Taylor of the 2nd Berkshire Regiment a pre war regular had enlisted in 1905, he landed with the Battalion in France on the 6th November 1914, prior to this the Battalion was stationed in India. It remained on the Western Front throughout the war. Taylor was reported wounded on the 31st My 1915 confirmed serving with the 2nd Bn and was discharged with the award of a silver war badge on the 27th July 1915
