A mid-18th century oak bachelor's chest - the rectangular fold-over top opening on lopers, lined with green baize, over four long graduated drawers with the original gilt-brass ring handles on split pin fixings, raised on bracket feet. (LWH 75.5 x 36 x 75 cm)
* In good condition overall - structurally sound, largely original and good even colour across the front, top and sides. Expected small marks, old scratches and dings from age and use. The handles, locks and feet appear to be original. The third drawer down is missing the lock. Baize has been replaced. Old repairs to side of both front feet and left front foot has a chip missing from lower edge. The back right foot has been partially replaced.
