A PAIR OF FRAMED PRINTS: AFTER: GIUSEPPE ZOCCHI (ITALIAN 1717 – 1767), (i) YOUNG PEOPLE IN A LANDSCAPE, a group of young people relaxing in a landscape, with ruins to the back (ii) L’INFANZIA, A group of children play in a landscape with a tower to the background, PRINT BY: FABRIO BERARDI, Etching, published by Joseph Wagner, original print was circa 1765. MORE ABOUT ZOCCHI: He was a draughtsman and etcher from Florence. Patronised by Andrea Gerini who sent him around Italy to study. He created two famous series of topographical views of Florence & Tuscany which were engraved by others. MORE ABOUT BERARDI: An engraver he was born in Siena and moved to Venice around 1742. He trained there in the workshop of Wagner; whose daughter he would eventually marry. Condition: framed in good regency style gilt frames with reverse painting to the glass, prints in excellent condition. Dimensions: 60 x 43.5cm frame, 47 x 31cm plates. 19th century label to the reverse of R & W Clarke, Grand Parade Cork.
