A Minton blue and white tree and well meat plate, early 19th century, printed with a view of Beeston Castle within a floral border, 52.5cm wide (at fault)
NOTE: See Priestman (G), AN ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO MINTON POTTERY, plate 6.36 for an example of the Beeston Castle view.
The plate shows a 4.5cm long repair to the rim at approximately 2 o'clock, and a firing crack to one of the supports. The surface shows the odd small pit, frit and glazing fault, but no obvious cracks or crazing.
