A Chinese famille rose figure of Guanyin, Qing Dynasty, 19th century The Goddess of Mercy modelled bearing a ruyi sceptre and wearing elaborate robes, the outer robe enamelled with flowers and scrolling foliage on a puce ground, the similarly decorated veil with eight gilt trigrams, falling from a black and gilt tiara, the green skirt covered with a front panel with decorative flowers, all standing on a separate domed pedestal with lotus petals above rolling waves. 46cm high
The figure has a small loss to the ribbon at the front of her robes. There is a very small chip to the tip of her right thumb. Some small enamel and firing imperfections to the robes. Tiny chip to hem of outer robe. The base has some very small chips and nibbles to the tips of the top lotus petals and some very small enamel imperfections around the foot rim.
