William Kemp was a Master Farrier in the 10th Light Dragoons (Later 10th Royal Regiment of Hussars. No.3 Troop of the Royal Regiment of Hussars). He was in the Peninsular War 1812-1814 - at 'Battle of Morales de Toro', 'Battle of Vittoria' 1813, 'Battle of Pyrenees', 'Battle of Nive', 'Battle of Orthez' 1814, 'Battle of Toulouse' 1814 & 'Battle of Waterloo' 1815. He had the 'Waterloo Medal' & 'Military General Services Medal with three clasps'. Died aged 65 yrs
