A very large decorative Chinese hard stone carving of a winged mythical beast, late 20th century. Similarly carved in the form of a Buddhistic lion of the late Ming dynasty. The stone, possibly serpentine, is partially translucent and has been dyed green to simulate a jade tonality. 39 cm length, 26 cm height.
Condition report: Some surface wear with age.
