Classic early English black glass/ dark green shaft & globe form with atypical long tapering neck & very angular body shape, c. 1660-1680+. Delightful overall characterful discolouration/ patination to the body - displaying a wonderful range of colours, most body sheen complete. Prominent string rim - approx a third absent although all aged and attractively worn. A wonderful undamaged example, other than string rim, of its type. Reportedly plucked from the River Thames foreshore? (8/10)
