Cigarette and Trade Cards; a large stock of mainly odd cards organised in seven drawers by company and by issue. Majority are cigarette cards, from major and smaller companies. Although mostly odds, there are some sets included. The largest proportion of the cards are sorted numerically. Condition is generally fine/very fine though with some poorer (either odd ones here and there, or examples of scarcer sets).
(NB the drawers themselves are not included. This lot was sold at £1,300 in our last auction, was repacked into shoeboxes for shipping, but the buyer failed to pay. That buyer has now been banned from bidding in all future auctions.) (The illustrations are of the lot before the last auction - the same cards, different presentation.)
Total quantity roughly 40,000 to 45,000 (based on measure of c.15 metres of cards, at 3.5cm per hundred).
