This artwork was used for the cover of Douglas Reeman's book H.M.S. Saracen. Although two 'Marshal Soult' Class big gun (15in.) monitors were designed expressly for service at Gallipoli, complications ensured that they were not ready and both missed this disastrous campaign, but each ultimately had long careers.
