Imperial German Seitengewehr M1898/05 Sawback Butcher Bayonet


14 1/2 inch, single edged blade widening towards the point. Rear sawback edge.  Forte with maker "Waffenfabrik Mauser AG Oberndorf a N".  Back edge dated "15".  Steel, turn up crossguard and pommel.  Grooved wooden slab grips.  Contained in its blued steel scabbard complete with economy leather Austrian frog.
