A Victorian carved mahogany eight day longcase clock, c1900, the breakarched gilt brass dial finely engraved to the centre with vase of flowers, having subsidiary seconds ring, CHIME / SILENT and WHITTINGTON CHIMES / WESTMINSTER CHIMES, rings up above, lunar work to the arch, the substantial high quality movement in richly carved case, swan neck pediment and fluted pillars, the trunk enclosed by arched door with bevelled glass light, 249cm h excluding finials
In the same good restored / overhauled condition as when purchased by the late owner from the trade some years ago; the three brass finials replaced
