Notts County 1922-23 2nd Division Champions Gold Pocket Watch, presented to J. Cook in 9ct Gold, bearing 375 and Birmingham hallmarks, the inner casing inscribed with award details, the watch having black Roman numerals and subsidiary dial to white enamel face, in original presentation box for W. Fry of Nottingham, black and white stripes to front but top covering absent. A pocket watch was presented to every member of the team for their achievement that season. Sunderland born, John Cook played 98 times for County as inside forward, scoring 13 goals, between 1919-1924. Previously at Middlesborough, he went on to finish his career at Northampton Town
