A GEORGE II SILVER LIDDED TANKARD

by Benjamin Cartwright I, London 1750, the hinged domed lid with a scroll-form thumbpiece, the tapering body with an applied reeded girdle and S-scroll handle with engraved initials. 17cm high, 30.7 troy ounces



The marks on the cover and body match and are clear. The lid opens and closes well. There is no evidence of erasure. The handle has some dents and a small split.
