A Collection of approximately 240 postcards and photocards in one album, the cards mostly date from the Edwardian era and feature many examples of the Region's structural heritage including the Castles at Appleby, Brough, Kirkby Stephen (Pendragon), Penrith (Lowther) Dacre, Cockermouth and Piel, Masions and Halls include The Fortress above Uldale, Ireby Grange, Hillbeck Hall, Dalemain, Hutton in the Forest, Eden Hall and Conishead Priory. A small collection of 28 'greetings' cards are included in the total. Publishers of the cards include G.P. Abraham, Nicholson and Cartner, R.W Thompson & Co. Atkinson and Pollitt and W.J. Oliphant, most cards are in good, very good or excellent condition.
