A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE ROYAL WEST SURREY REGIMENT. A Great War pair comprising 14-15 Star named to S-6355 Pte R.S. White The Queen's R. War Medal similarly named. Private Robert Spencer White served with the 1st Battalion of the Queen's Regiment (Royal West Surrey), he died on the 19th August 1915. The War diary records that he was one of four killed and two wounded as part of a working party employed on defenses at Givenchy. He is buried at the Guards Cemetery, Windy Corner, Cuinchy. Sold with copied research and photographs of the headstone. *CR Lacking ribbons, normal wear to surfaces. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
