Original vintage travel poster - Britain Land of History fly British Airways Impressive examples of graceful Regency architecture (1810-1820) can be seen in many parts of Britain. This is an artist's impression of Brighton East Sussex in Regency days - featuring a colourful design of the popular South Coast seaside resort town depicting a military man in uniform on Brighton beach with ladies in fashionable dress standing with soldiers in front of Mahomed's Baths and other buildings with decorative balconies, a lady riding on a horse drawn carriage and soldiers marching below a Union Jack flag with the historic Royal Pavilion built for King George IV behind trees in the background, a tall ship sailing at sea with a hot air balloon flying overhead, the BA text in white above and title with the information text on the margin below. Published by the British Tourist Authority and printed in England by Beric Press. Very good condition, minor staining, small restored tears in margins, backed on linen.
