Railway. Heritage Steam, Heritage Diesel and modern traction. A large collection of approx. 800+ x 35mm, colour slides, on Agfa film stock. The collection is housed in pvc protective wallets. The slides were taken by the late Christopher John Yapp of Leeds in 1981 and appear to be whole films, as such they do include some non-railway subjects. We will be selling other slides from the collection in future auctions. Overall quality is very good with some fine steam images. They feature in the main preserved steam but there are also preserved diesels, railtour specials, modern traction (some Deltics in BR service), industrial and preserved buses. Locations noted: Keighley & Worth Valley, Severn Valley, Dinting Railway Centre, National Railway Museum, Blue Bell Railway, Penrhyn Industrial Museum, Ffestiniog, Shackerstone, Great Central, Glasgow Museum of Transport, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, CEGB Agecroft Power Station etc. The slides come with a comprehensive caption list, all the slides are numbered to coincide with the captions.
