She has cleared her extensive house contents in the Isle of Man, of which 250 + lots are in this 26th June & 18 Sept Specialist auctions. The key lots in the auction reflect her lifetime interests, social connections, aristocratic ancestors & relatives, extraordinary careers, marriages and travels. Father was The Hon Anthony Gerald Samuel, The youngest son of Walter, 2nd Viscount Bearsted (now National Trust’s Upton House, Warwickshire), and her mother was latterly Lady Eve Strathcarron. The Maternal Grandfather was John Comyn Higgins (1882-1952), the last British High Commissioner in the state of Manipur. "according to my grandfather, he was asked to shoot them by the villagers in Manipur as they were man eating tigers". AUCTIONEERS NOTE: This item pre dates 1947 and is classed as a worked antique.
