A Georgian hairwork and jet mourning ring, circa 1820, the central woven hair panel beneath convex glass surrounded by row of faceted French jet, with openwork shoulders and closed-back settings, with inscribed dedication "Josiah Tyrrell, died 6th December 1820 aged 80", and shank inscription "S J Boyes obt July 1st 1896 aged 66", apparently unmarked, setting height 12.7mm, size O, 3.3g

All stones present, jet are quite heavily worn with several surface chips, central glass is frosted due to surface abrasions, shank has reinforced plate on inner edge, unmarked
