A good 16 bore double barrelled over and under percussion boxlock side hammer belt pistol, by F. Barnes & Co. London, c 1850, 8½” overall, round barrels 3” with Birmingham proofs, signed on the flat top, and with swivel ramrod beneath; finely scroll engraved frame, hammers, and trigger guard, and with belt hook on the left side; finely chequered walnut butt with silver escutcheon and butt cap with trap. Good Working Order and Condition, the engraving crisp, traces of original finish overall. Plate 15
